SUMMER MIX
This summer, we are going to have informal pickup games at different fields on Saturday and Sunday (8-9:30 am). Please email [email protected] if you want to be on the notification list.
Locations:
Saturday: Clear Creek Valley Park (58th and Lowell parking lot is closest, but you can also park off Tennyson and walk to the east end of the park).
Sunday: Addenbrooke (601 S. Garrison) - fields to the north of the parking lot
Time: 8-9:30 am; please arrive on time, ready to play, so we can get in at least 1 hour 15 minutes of play.
Format: We will break into teams and set up fields to match the # of players on each team. Depending on the number of players, we may break into two groups, either by skill and level of competition or just into 4 teams. For starters, we aren't going to worry about having goals, but might, as the summer goes on, decide that would make the games more fun. If you have a set of goals (not the pup type, but larger ones), please let us know and we can try it out. No refs. Ideally, folks won't wear shin guards (we get that some of you will) as a way to lower the tenor of the game.
Colors: Bring a light and a dark shirt
Equipment: bring a ball if you have one; we will provide cones, etc. to mark off the fields.
Registration / Cost: Free but you must be registered with MDWSC ($30 for the year) so that we have supplemental insurance coverage for you. Contact [email protected] if you need to register. This registration is good for the fall season as well.
